Someone who is rooted experiences peace and stability. They are tapped in to a life source that enables them to grow, weather storms, and yield fruit. They flourish. As a coach this metaphor reflects my desire to be rooted in the truth and help draw out what the Holy Spirit has already put in you. To help you foster peace, stability, confidence, clarity and hope in your life.
Self Doubt or Criticism
Feeling Stuck in Life Circumstances
Lack of Motivation
Desire to care for oneself Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually.
Coaching is an intentional and confidential conversation that empowers a person to fully live out their purpose and identity. A coaching conversation uses powerful questions to bring deeper awareness and help you accomplish your objectives. We have a personal and compelling conversation that ends in action steps which you choose as a result of our time together. I will never tell you what to do. I will encourage you as you progress, overcome obstacles, and flourish in the life to which you are called.
***Coaching is not the same as counseling. If you are in crisis or have trauma you would like to address, a licensed counselor may serve you best. A simplified distinction is that Coaching focuses on the Present & Future: evoking awareness, overcoming obstacles and setting doable action steps. Counseling addresses the Past & Present: your internal world and areas of your life that need deep healing.
Is coaching in the Bible? No. Are elements of coaching in the Bible (active listening, asking questions, accountability)? Yes! As a Christian coach, my goal is to draw out what the Holy Spirit has already put in you. One way to do that is to use coaching as a tool to gain clarity in how God is leading you and who he is calling you to be. I am not the ultimate authority nor will I tout coaching as the answer. I love Jesus and believe that he has given us each other to build each other up and to press in to him.
